MTS and "Irkutskenergo" provide high-speed internet northern remote areas of the Irkutsk Region

Operator MTS OJSC "Irkutskenergo" in the VII of the Baikal Economic
Forum today announced the completion of the project for the
development of network infrastructure in enterprises "Irkutskenergo"
and announced plans for cooperation in 2012. Recall, VI Baikal
Economic Forum in 2010 concluded a two-year agreement on investment
cooperation . One of the elements of the agreement - the building up
to the end of 2011 additional infrastructure networks in the
enterprises of JSC "Irkutskenergo". To date, cooperation has already
established MTS nine additional base stations supporting the GSM and
3G networks in the main objects of "Irkutsenergo": Bratsk
hydroelectric plant, Irkutsk Hydroelectric Power Station, the Ust-Ilim
hydroelectric and other energy facilities Angarsk, Bratsk, Sayansk,
Shelekhov. With the development of network infrastructure in
enterprises of JSC "Irkutskenergo" MTS experts used sophisticated
technical solutions, enabling secure communications 2G/3G practically
the entire territory of HPS. So, to close the indoor hydro used for
more than 90 additional antennas, laid about six kilometers of feeder
and optical lines. In order to communicate in the galleries of dams
used radiating cable and the feeder and point emitters. In the second
phase of cooperation, in 2012, MTS and 侵rkutskenergosvyaz" subsidiary
"Irkutskenergo" intend to implement the project for affordable
high-speed internet northern remote areas of the field with use of
transport and logistics infrastructure, and MTS OJSC "Irkutskenergo".
